Prescott Valley Police Department Extends Gratitude to Community Partners Supporting K-9 Unit

The Prescott Valley Police Department (PVPD) is expressing its gratitude to community partners whose contributions are helping protect and care for the agency’s four police dogs.

The newest members of the K-9 Unit, K-9 Mac and K-9 Zeus, have been outfitted with custom protective vests donated by Brady K-9, a nonprofit organization that provides lifesaving equipment to police dogs nationwide. The vests are designed to enhance safety during high-risk operations alongside their handlers.

In addition, the Arizona Community Foundation has stepped in to cover pet insurance for all four PVPD K-9s for the year. The funding ensures access to quality veterinary care, safeguarding the health and well-being of the dogs throughout their service.

The PVPD K-9 Unit supports patrol operations, narcotics detection, tracking, and community outreach. Department officials say the ongoing generosity of community partners is vital to sustaining these efforts and fostering a safer, stronger community.
